Hi and thank you for stopping by!
Less than a month until Father’s Day!
As you may (or may not!) know, this year Father’s Day is on June 18th in the US – and other countries too.
On this occasion many of you will try to find a great present but also a card to let him know that he’s the best Dad!
I know that there are so many card choices, in stores and online… But if you are looking for a special card, you might want to choose a handmade one! So feel free to check out my handmade Father’s Day cards by clicking below:
How I created these handmade Father’s Day cards
First I always sketch the idea for the card. Then I start to create prototypes, trying out different colors combos:
When the prototypes are ready, the making process starts. For these handmade Father’s Day cards I used my Silhouette Cameo, an electronic cutting machine, to cut out the stars.
I also had to cut out kraft paper rectangles and fold the card bases made out of white cardstock paper.
When all my elements are ready I hand stamp with black ink the sentiment “Happy Father’s Day” on the stars.
I wanted to add more details to these handmade cards so I also stamped and heat embossed 3 little stars on the kraft cardstock paper. I think they add a nice shiny touch to the card!
Finally I assemble all the elements with adhesive and voilà, my cards are ready! 🙂
I hope you enjoyed seeing my creation process! I always put a lot of care in designing and making my cards so I hope you will like them!
